Very nice, I want to do that but wrap a trip around it.

I thinking and seeing that ED cars are being handled first. My car has been at the VPC since the 28th of sept but was ordered as usual and prob last on the list since it was made 1 week before the good pumps started being installed

We both arrived on the Torronto right? Do you have a case worker assigned to your car? If not call the 800 BMWNA number and see who's assigned to your car, and they should be able to get you information. I spoke to them daily until my car was shipped to the dealer last Saturday, and she called me yesterday just to ensure all was going well at the dealer and did I need anything. The final piece they will have my compensation Friday once we agree on the number(:

I keep asking for information on who my case worker is and they don't say I have one a case worker.

I'm now assuming case workers are only for ED cars. There is a serious difference between ED customers and regular orders. Don't get me
Wrong, there should be, but dammit give me info BMW!

I was told I do not have a case worker either. I am ED as well. That being said, I just arrived at the port on Monday and haven't cleared customs yet (well I don't think I have)

What date did your boat arrive at the port in the States? What port did your car arrive at?

I also need to fly in order to pick up my car and I'm trying to estimate when it will be ready for pick-up. My boat is scheduled to arrive on 10/29 in Brunswick.

I was on the TOPEKA - arr Newark 10/4. No case worker to my knowledge, but I will check now.

Please keep us up on the compensation part as well. Everyone here should get a fair shake. This has been a very disappointing situation. Although to be honest the side bolsters - since those cannot be fixed - bother me much more.

There really is no such thing as a case officer at this point . The term case officer was what the original callers were called when they were given the task of contacting you . Each "case officer " had a list of vins and there job was to contact and inform the customer of the recall . At this point no one individual is assigned to Shepard you . I'm not making this up , I queried BMW customer service in depth because I was thinking I'm supposed to have a case officer and where the heck is that person.

That's interesting because my rep called me daily with updates, and my car status in addition discussing compensation. She also told me how she had several others she had to deal with. Also she said some of her peers where being yelled and cursed at by owners. My bet is they didnt call the ones back that treated them like crap. Good luck to all

Well not great news today, went to the dealer and got my sales guy to poke around the computer system and I saw 2 things I didn't like bout this oil pump fix but one was helpful.

I saw that my car didn't have a 'work order' started, that is the next step and is sitting in a storage location at the VPC. It already has a trucking line assigned and that's just waiting. It says arrived on 9/27, to be at dealer on 10/3; we are obviously passed that date.

Now we looked up another one that was ordered before mine and it did have a work order but now I noticed that his 'to be at dealer' date was 11/2!

I now have showed the sales guy where to look to tell me when I get the work order started status, until I get that I don't get a date change or status update that I'm moving forward

I don't know if the 11/2 date is accurate as mine was not but I don't know why they would put that in if it wasn't

Looks like we may be waiting for a while guys. I would have your sales guy check that status, it's his his system on the lower part of the page on a 2nd tab. It is in an Internet browser window, he put in the last 7 of the VIN and it brought all of this up. I would go down there and look with them.

This is an example of BMW not being consistent. The "case officer" called me with recall info *and* gave her number and extension to call her back with any questions. Since I misplaced this info I found out no one : would give me her contact info, and acted as if so such person exists.

ED special services finally got back to me today saying my car is finally on the truck

CA "sees" (in the system) car in transit left today, am told it could be tomorrow or Sat. Interesting that VDC says delivery Tues, but could be padding the delivery date. How long did it take to get your car from VDC?

Transport dropped it off within 36 hours of having the car. Its about a 12 hour drive from NJ to the dealership in Cincy assuming the transport travels at an avg of 55mph. If they left Thursday the dealership may get it later today.

Anyone else still stuck at the VPC? My car has been sitting there for a week with no repair applied or even scheduled to be applied.

My 2013 M5 is on the vin list, it died on 10/31/2012....my confidence is very low to zero with BMW and Shelly BMW. Likely will consider other brands...

Did you get your car back yet? I got the 1200mi service completed last Friday and have not had any issues.

That additional info may not be helpful. My car arrived at the port 10/27, cleared Customs 10/28 and the workorder was opened 10/31 with an estimated delivery to my dealer 11/4. It still shows the estimated delivery as 11/4!

I don't know if this has anything to do with it but the new oil pump associated with my VIN was originally sent to my dealer and a day after they received it (about 10/31) they were told to send it back (as the VDC was going to change the pump).

I'm just waiting for the dealer to call me when they get the car.
