They have to download it and then it takes forever to install. Tons of updated stuff though. I thought you were talking about the USB Update for multimedia.

Yeah I did the dealer software update about a month ago. I had to get a loaner car and come back later in the day. It really does take forever.

mine been updated today in 1h and my car never been updated since it left factory
so i donno why yours took so long!

I have the 2015 model M6 GC CP so I can compare.

What is in this update that I'd want? I have a 14' that has a decent amount of coding, and don't want that screwed with... The car runs great, and I have no issues, but am curious as to what this updates fixes... Thanks.

i have 7-page report
i can post it here, but i doubt it would make much sense to many people

i did not see any changes anywhere, except for steering wheel in comfort feels just a bit more firm

Have you got the GPS setting at the bottom of settings now, mine arrived yesterday "Over the air" from BMW.
I have activated it and it works with the My BMW APP, I think making finding the car "National" not local.
Only the 2015 model on gets this "over the air" I am told.
So your update should have it on.

i m getting oil changed now and car being checked before my long summer trip

i will check once car is done, but it should be a matter of having NBT (2013/4+) to get "over air" updates

My car had some updates done last week was 2 hrs.

mine was updated few days ago and it took around 6 hours to finish the whole car. now my NBT version is NBT_I14275A

if your NBT is updated to the latest version then you can install the more recent updates meant for new production cars from www.bmw.com/update.
