Rear wheel camber changes
I booked my car in the other day to reduce rear wheel camber to try and improve traction in the horrible UK weather. Wet and minus 3 degC at times just now
My car is now running 1.0 negative camber in the rear. The guy forgot to record the before measurements. He said both rears were around -1.8 First impressions were positive but thought maybe placebo effect?? I have been running around for a week with the new setup and can confirm the rear traction is greatly improved. So far I can't find a negative aspect of the change, on saying that the roads are very cold and wet so not had chance to try handling in the dry. Fingers crossed I wont notice any real difference to handling and as my car will never see a track I don't think I will ever see a downside. The M5 wet handling is very planted. pretty amazing really. I came from a new Audi S7 and it was very poor, no grip (handling), ended up sideways, stability control saved me and an unintentional 4 wheel drift. Both times I thought I was nowhere near to the limit of grip. The M5 is so much more confidence inspiring but always ready to bite lol kind of what you expect in a RWD car.

as the weather is so poor up here at the moment I have had plenty time to play and am still convinced it makes a difference.
I am happy with the results, hopefully this wont change when the summer hits and I start going round corners lol
