Diff Braces?
Anybody running diff braces in our cars? Lock down the differential to eliminate some wheel hop could help save our axles big time. Did a quick search didnt find much on this topic.
Anybody running a diff brace ? Where can we get one ?

It's made from a solid billet piece... so expensive. I need to test-fit and then will put up a post for people who may want to purchase.

In pictures of those braces that have failed, the mounting bolts have also been broken. Your brace appears unbreakable, will that put more load on those bolts, or serve to save them? In regards to SalM's question, I don't believe wheel hop in an IRS will be solved with this brace. I'm willing to be proved wrong. |

Excellent. For a DD it might be important. Even for serious dragstrip use some give might be helpful. Are there other rubber mounting points that should use more solid bushings to complement your support?

The front diff mounts have rubber bushings so there will be some give. I believe one of the reasons the rear gives is due to excessive flex on that rear bushing. If it were rigid that flex goes away but who knows where it will break next!

would designing a metal bushing to replace the rubber one make sense instead of the entire mount?

My take on steeve13's question was that he wants to retain the stock cast brace and replace the rubber in it with a metal bushing to surround the mounting bolt. I hope he'll chime in with his intent, but if that was it I don't think the stock casting would hold up.

I have MT's and looking to 1/4 this year again on them. Is there any work around getting the oem diff braced before yours goes into production and what part is usually breaking the rear?
