Dinan -New Products

Looks like they are starting to post more new products for the F10 M5. Negative camber control arms and pedals.

What do you think is next? DP? headers?

I just can't believe the Dinan point system. What do they think we are, third-graders?

I ordered the front and rear sways. These seem way better than the CP sways.

Not interested in the pedals. They look cheap to me. I got the BMW M Performance pedals which are and look OEM grade.

I think that will be it for me until IND sends me my modified Eisenmann Hybrid exhaust.

If you're not interested in the KW route to reduce the understeer and plow in initial turn-in I would highly recommend their product.

I was seeing major front tire edge wear before the new suspension setup.

What setup are you referring to? What do you have?

If they've cracked the code, as some claim, I wonder if they're removing or bumping up the top speed limiter.

DINAN did not crack the ECU.

For the first time ever, they are coming out with a piggyback, what they are calling it is a DINAN TCU (tuning control unit).

They in the past have always been against piggybacks. Looks like they decided that the F10 M5's ECU encryption is just not breakable and will offer a "TCU" until it is cracked - if that ever happens.

Also heard this today. Not cracked. They have some use of ecu to adjust parameters. They are working on a non piggyback tune that they plan to finish in June /July time frame. If that does not work they will release the TCU. Also was told that speed limit increase not likely possible on US cars from them today. I sure hope they prove us wrong and come out will all the good stuff soon!!!

Probably reliability and warranty indemnity reasons. Remember BMW has a 4 year 50,000 mile warranty here, and people are litigious about denied claims.

They learned this from Lexus which has had unbreakable CPUs for almost a decade.

Further this allows them to charge rip off prices for things like the competition package.

Just noticed the control arm application is for 3/13 and earlier builds.

Sadly I have to agree with Stealth here.

This is sad news indeed. But now here's my question. I've also read that Dinan is working on upgraded bigger turbo's as well as IND. Wouldn't the new turbochargers require a different ECU tune? Would a bunch of stuff have to be adjusted that the stock ECU can't handle with bigger turbos? I dunno, so I'm asking here.

Looks like we may never see 800+hp on the F10 M5, or the G30 M5 will be out before any real hacking of the encryption is successful. I heard it was like 1056bit encryption, which is crazy.

Probably because of the Competition Package.

I think Dinan will crack the code at some point. If not some hacker in the neighborhood will and charge Dinan for the info ..............Phil

Dave, you think the geometry of the arms on the CP's are different?
