Owners of 2014 LCI with new adaptive BMW LED headlights

It is now possible to turn on the glarefree BMW ConnectedDrive Highbeam Assistant in US spec'ed 2014 YM cars equipped with the new adaptive BMW LED headlights!

It is also possible to have the Highbeam Assistant to turn ON by default.

Reference thread for the original discussion.

and here is the video produced by BMW to show off the feature:

Same. Thanks to V12 for excellent work (and good conversation as well!) . I had downloaded the software and wanted to mess around with coding myself, but it is way better to let a pro like V12 do it for you. After two months, no complaints, both cars work flawlessly. If anyone has any questions on remote coding from an end users point of view feel free to PM me.

Of all the coding features, the headlight one is definitely one of my favorites.

UK M5's with high beam assist do this, it is very clever, the F30/31 3 series has had this since 2012, shame the M6 does not.

My E60 5 series has high beam assist with adaptive headlights(2008); is awesome but is beaten hands down by the LEDs.

personally i think its rubbish! I though the previous one was rubbish too!

if you have more than 2 cars on the road either in front or coming towards you - it turns the full beams off. Living around London its not often there aren't cars or overhead lights...

NO E60 has these lights , they were introduced in late 2012 On the E30/31, nothing earlier.
High beam assist you have not adaptive, latest M6 does not even get this yet.

use the bottom button on the stalk to switch them on when on low/high beams at night. A green neon will illuminate on the centre speedo screen when on.

I have coded the glarefree feature of the Adaptive LED headlights to a 2014 535d yesterday.

And so it is also working on the "regular" F10.
Will be testing on a F32 in the coming days too.

This glarefree feature works with the Auto High Beam Assist and requires the LED lighting package.

Note: I can enable Auto High Beam Assist in the car even if the second factory dedicated button isn't present so long as the car has HUD and the camera to pick up the road sign for the speed limit.

For the cars factory-equipped with it, we can make it AUTO ON, which means you don't have to turn it on manually.

This is the symbol to look in the instruments cluster.

With all due respect, I have the Visibility pack which includes adaptive bi-xenon headlamps (swivels in the direction of travel) auto lights with rain sensing, etc. Specified high beam assist, so I DO know what I am talking about. Have had the car for nearly 6 years (was the LCI version). I presume you are thinking of adaptive LED lights.

Your car does NOT have BMW Intelligent Technology. You have adaptive bixenons and you have auto highbeam assist.

You don't have this:

If you have some sort of prototype car that was used in the R&D for this technology then I offer my apologies.

Does the turn signal stalk look like this one: two buttons?

For the last time (No disrespect) I have had these lights on the F31 and LCI M5 since they CAME out, NO car has them before
I do not have LED lights.
Go and ask your dealer he can enlighten you.

I beg to differ; however to each his own thoughts. I ordered the car and ticked the boxes; have been driving it since April 2008. If by now I do not know what is specified on my car and what it can do, then I should be taken out into a field and put out of my misery. I can assure you that the visibility pack on the E60 5 series had adaptive bi-xenons (checked my initial order sheet yesterday). However, this is the last I will say about it. I reiterate however that these lights are not with the new BMW intelligent technology; my high beam assist only turns on when it deems it neccessary, unlike the scenario with the Intelligent technology which turns off when it deems fit.
