2014 M5

Super, Chris!
Would have liked to be around.
However, I'm a bit confused or perhaps insufficiently updated: a 2014 M5 that doesn't sport updated F10 kidney grills and surroundings?
Best wishes

You have me confused as well. My car does in fact have the new LCI kidney grills.
They are very obvious in this photo here. What is missing?

Hi Chris, you did a nice good job on the write up, it is amazing how many things you got to see and do. Your pain will now get worse every day you wait at the dock for your car to get redelivered.
I just picked my one up last Friday, it took 56 days to get to western Canada from Frankfurt including 32 days for the train across Canada.
Good luck

Thank you for a quick reply.

Awesome. I like how the car looks in this color. You can see the lines better than other colors. I also like your rims and I am debating between them and the 343 style black..

I didnt think I would go silverstone at all, until I passed by one in person at a dealership and it brought me to a stop. The color looks amazing in person for how it picks up the lines. I really, really like the CP wheels as well. Again, in person they are a very cool design.

I posted some updated pics of the car now that it is home and has been tinted here: http://f10.m5post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=914635

Thanks for the effort. Now I don't have to take an ED since I feel like I have lived it already or for that matter ever read another ED report either!

Beautiful car and thanks for your service.

Beautiful car and thanks for your service.
Thanks.. I really enjoy the car... However looks I may have to give it back as I'm pitching back into the sandbox this summer for another round of providing air cover for my brothers on the ground.

B-1Pilot,

Did you have any trouble getting access to the ring? I'd love to hear more about that process. I've heard they can give you trouble with insurance requirements?

I know this post has been up for a while but just wanted to say thank you for such a detailed recount of your ED experience. As someone who is contemplating ED this September I can say your post has served as an excellent resource as well as motivation! Thanks!

Agreed!!
B-1Pilot

Your review, photos, videos, and how you did it with your wife was a GREAT marketing tool! BMW should give you some discount as your write-up really sells the whole experience!
Thanks for taking the time to do it.
Best of luck in your new adventures...and as always safe travels.

Great Write up and thank you for sharing with the community.
All the good elements of a nice write up: stories, pictures, and videos.

I've not done ED but have visited the BMW plant and some of the sites you've covered.
May be one day I'll share it here.
