Tim, you should post an audio clip of your M6 Redneck Edition. Some southern guys will love it...memories of bonfire parties drinking Budweiser then firing up the old beater with a 5.0 and Cherry bombs and doing donuts in the dirt.

Don't know if it's helpful or not, but I've had BMW service set my Eisenmann Sport-Race valves to 'always open' state. Main reason was the constant clicking / drone sound due to exhaust's vibration at low RPMs which was caused by valves vibrating against the pipes, and since they opened it he sound is deeper and more pronounced.

Just to give you an idea of how small the remotes are. I had to dash mount mine as I'm sure I'd lose it.

can you post video? also, is there a way for this to default on or do you always activate when you start up the car? funny how every time one starts the car now, it's AC off, confirm on the idrive, push media for ipod, right stick to random, m2 2x to confirm, and now exhaust meister activation? i used to get so annoyed at people when i want to take their parking spot because they just sit there, but i think the m5 has made me one of those people.

in X5M, the flaps are always open when in M mode (even when gear is not in sports) so im debating if I should get this or not as I switch to M mode within 5 minutes of driving

One more thought, can you program that remote to work off of your garage door openers that are in the car? that would eliminate the need for the remote to be velcro'ed to the dash.... please try and let me know if that works.

This would be awesome and very easy to try... I did that with a meisterschaft exhaust I had on my 550. The 3 buttons on the mirror. 1 was for the garage, another to open the valves and the other to close. It was great. All you do is take the remote hold it close to the mirror press and hold down the open or close button on the remote at the same time holding one of the mirror preset buttons down(up to you which one you want to set) and bam. You dont need the remotes anymore.

I ordered one of these today. I will let you know how it goes once I get it. I figured for $119 shipped it is a tank and a half of gas if it wasn't worth it. a far cry from $3K in a new exhaust.

M mode deffo opens my flaps. If I drive through the town slowly and hit M1 I can hear the drone especially going down a hill with no throttle on. Are the US cars different?

Can you look this up in your owner's manual? It should say whether this is the case - and if so, it's definitely something that should be able to be coded in US cars.
