Opti Coat and Vinyl mix?

Hey all...I am looking into an M5 that has Opti Coat applied. I'd like to consider a wrap on the roof to match the sunroof. Are there issues with putting vinyl over the Opti coat surface? thx!

The Opticoat will have to be removed on any surface that you place a wrap or you'll have issues with adhesion.

I don't know if the above is correct. My process was: opti coat, wait two weeks, then clear bra, as per the detailers recommendation. I have had the clear bra over the opti for a year now with no issues at all. I think a warp is very similar to a clear bra, i think?

XPel themselves state that you should not place their film on any surface of the vehicle that has a 'wax' applied. Much better to clay bar the car after a good wash, then have the wrap or clear bra installed and then Opticoat, etc.

Coatings are glass or ceramic basically not much different from the clear coat already on the paint and would not be considered wax. Wax would yellow over time and could prematurely peal the bra.
