Phil I'm the least handiest of individuals and I had a fairly easy time with the entire install.

First make sure you see the instructions on the website; very well done and detailed.

You will benefit from a plastic interior car tools.

The carpet is very stiff after you remove all of the fasteners you do have to pull a little because its stiff and also partially tucked under the rubber weather stripping lip. Getting it set back is a little trickier so try to observe as you pull it back to see where to tuck it back

To be honest I'm not muscled very much but it does require some strength especially in the fingers.

Basically once you remove all the pins they ask you to remove (including some of the ones on the black plastic trim on the trunk lip), then you need to slip your fingers behind the carpet and pull the carpet out from the rubber gasket. Pull hard. The carpet is pretty rigid but it will flex and it will come out. You don't need to pull it a lot, just enough to be able to access the connectors.

Thanks Stealth. I have a tendency to 'muscle' things and bed up breaking or damaging something. Sometimes myself!

We ARE talking about the drivers-side, correct?

Thanks bud. I did read the instructions a few times. And I was using a plastic pry bar that came from IND.

Yes. Drivers side.

FWIW I did it without the trim removal tools.

I'm curious if you were able to get this installed and what you think of the exhaust sound. I'm getting an M5 with ZCP and might consider a new exhaust. Although some sound really good I like the idea of being able to modulate the decibels, so I don't go crazy on long drives. I know Meisterschaft has a model with EV control, but still seems pretty loud.

Bronch the exhaustmeister is an easy install and worth the price. It will improve cold start and low RPM sound.

see instructions on the website and pay attention when removing (pulling back) the carpet as this will guide getting it back in. Trick is tucking it back under the lip of the rubber.

If one were to spend $$ for and exhaust I suggest going with DPs that should significantly improve sound but also HP & performance. With stock exhaust also little to no drone.

Yeah, looks like even I could do it. Thanks for the response, I think this is the way I'm going since I may lease.
