I don't think there is a thread for this.. i saw one on the m3 side of the forums. I'm deciding on what color to get, if my m5 deal goes thru.

I'm highly interested in santorini blue, or frozen grey at the moment. Also pricing would be awesome too!

Pricing is set at $5K for individual paint.

I think two best colors for m5/m6 is frozengrey and frozencashmere.
But i don't see those colors as an option when building m5 thru bmwusa website.

They are BMW Individual colors. Special order from factory for $5000. If you want this

The only problem with individual colors is if someone scratches your car or any accident it will be a problem to bodyshop to color match. That's the only reason holds me back from it.

The iridescent indy colours are two stage, but providing it's done right should be fine; I'm currently putting that statement to the test!

BMW paintwork is also UV fade resistant, this is why they now offer paint patches in popular colours: -

Those "Frozen" colors will be a problem.
I've seen it very hard to match it.

Not to a good body shop. I had my rear bumper re-painted due to a scratch and it was absolutely perfect.

Plus you can't overspray and blend with frozen paints, so you have to match it right - which forces the body shop to up their game, vs the sloppy work they do on normal paints.

We have our hearts set on Tanzanite Blue, just found out that there maybe a shortage of allocations for that color. Hope to hear back today or tomorrow to see if we can still get it.
