Thoughts on new P85D
My boss is getting his new P85D in a couple weeks and I was wondering, how my m6 would do against his car. I know off of the line he will probably destroy me because he is AWD, but what about from a roll like 60 or so? Only mod I really have is dinan stage 1. He is scared to drive anything over 80 MPH so I will probably not be able to get any decent real life comparisons. Just wondering.

It would be an interesting race. The Tesla is heavier than the M5, but instant torque from the Tesla is very difficult to compete with not to mention the AWD to put all that torque down. I dunno, I can't really make a guess as to who would win.

I don't know fellas, that thing is fast in a straight line. I'm concerned about the handling and how it feels on curvy roads. Here is a recent video of the P85D against a Ferrari, but it's really hard to tell exactly where the Ferrari is other than it's behind the P85D. The good part starts around the 33 second mark.

True dat but this guy didn't have any problem bragging about beating the lighter Ferarri two seater. So I got no problem beating him in my 2+2. I wish one would want to race me, they are all over the place around here but I don't know if there are any of the P85D just yet.

It looks like most of the P85D speed is in the first 30 MPH....

The Tesla will win 0-100mph. That's real life unfortunately. It does mid 11's in the 1/4 mile while the M5/6 does upper 11's. The M5 is catching up by the end of the 1/4 mile since it traps 4-5mph higher, but that means that you'll blow by the Tesla once he's at 120mph and you're closer to 130mph. We can't expect to sway the table on our side just so we can win the race: "oh I'll race you but we have to do a 98mph roll so I can be in my power band in 3rd gear and full boost". Anyway, this is magazine racing here based on figures posted and tested by others. Take it with a grain of salt.

Was just about to say the same thing. Our ///Ms would destroy that ferrari also. Not a good comparo since that ferrari is relatively slow. From a dig he would have to play catch up, but roll a roll i think its lights out for the tesla.

There is a video of tesla vs. aventador... In the first 3 seconds the tesla pulls ahead, but after that the aventador starts to walk it... It is almost like the tesla has a burst of energy from a dig and then it runs out of juice...

On a roll the tesla is a boat anchor against the M5 /M6 . After a few pulls the tesla gets slower too. From a dig tesla does some work on the M5/6
