BMW Service Inclusive Ultimate Package Price
Has anyone (outside the US) purchased the Service Inclusive Packages for the F10 M5? If so, what warranty did you have, what did you purchase and how much did it cost?
My car is in Saudi Arabia and it came with a 2 year 100,000 KM warranty and I was quoted $16,603 to upgrade to the Ultimate package which covers the car up to 5 years 100,000 KM service parts included as indicated in the table below. I thought the amount was extremely steep and the dealer told me that they get these prices straight from BMW without adding any markups. I thought the best thing was to contact the regional office of the Middle East in Dubai and their reply was "Price inquiries can only be answered by the Importer". So they have me in a look right now and I do not know what the best approach is. |

Important questions are 1.) How much are M5s there? 2.) How much are repairs? 3.) How long will you realistically keep the M5?

After a bit of guessing and hunting, I found you can get the prices (albiet in Eur) from the Spanish BMW web http://www.bmw.es/es/es/owners/servi...alculator.html.
5 year 100k is Eur 10.600 or about $14.2k. In some parts of the world, I understand the price is negotiatable off the price list and the salesman is getting an incentive. As for the pricing for M5, I noticed the prices were between 4-6x the cost of same coverage on my 135i -- M5 MSRP being only about 2.5x the MSRP of my 135i. Someone explained that its the cost of the special consumables for M5 ie brake pads etc being factored in but I have never seen someone price out the full maint schedule for 100k-kms.

I guess ill pass on it, I can get a full service option for 3 years 40,000 km which runs at about $2900. I might go with that and take it from there.
The car over here costs anywhere from $115,000 - $130,000 depending on the options. |

I got my car from saudi and I passed .. caused most of the extra parts covered have a long half life and you may not change it except once during the covered period; so its not worth the upfront payment

Well, I ended up getting a combination of both the warranty and service.
I extended the warranty an additional year to make it 3 years 100,000 KM and added to that the service plan for 3 years 40,000 KM which ended up costing me about $4,300. I drive about 12,000 KM a year and this will cover me for 3 years. I could extend it further later on if I decide to keep the car for a longer period. |
