Squeaky breaks - BMW finally recognizes the problem
Had to service driver door to remove terrible rattles and as usual complained about the breaks. This time it was recognized (SIB 34 06 14) and break pads were replaced.

Thank you for sharing this. I was able to get my squeaking brake pads replaced thanks to this information. This was timely as my new car warranty is up in 10 days.

The rotors are 400 each no matter where you go, and another 200-300 for pads, 50 for sensors |

Since this was a service bulletin, you *may* still be able to get this covered even though you are out of warranty. Does not hurt to ask, but have the SIB number handy |

SIB not valid
I guess the SIB for the brake squeal is only for cars with original warranty. I have a 2013 which is still under CPO, but BMW Northwest wants to charge me to replace with the updated brake pads.

No good in Canada?
I tried to get this fix here in Canada but for some reason the service guy said the SIB is not in the Canadian. Is that just a load of crap? Anyone in Canada get this fix done?
