I wonder why they decided to go with co-branding on the exhaust system??

sweet! can't wait to see one in person!

side note exhaust are available. Pricey but as we all know Akrapovic is the best there is, period.

Very excited, here is hoping Akra releases something for the in coming M4 / M3

Sounds very nice, but I prefer the sound of the Akra on the M3.

Anyone know if there a discernible difference (if any?) between the M Performance exhaust and Akrapovic's own titanium system?

One and the same aside from M Logo on tips and a slightly different weave design on the carbon fiber tip...and a two year BMW warranty.

^^Warranty is a HUGE selling point. This will have no chance of voiding factory warranty

It's a work of art for sure...I'm hoping I can brake my sales manager and install one on a stock unit for "demo"

on a side note, the Carbon tips are not yet available.

You can get the Akra for less as well I was about $2500 below that plus 20% back as a rebate towards a new car (used for the Alpina) which means I paid around $6k installed. You prob could get the BMW M perfect exhaust for around $8k installed easily.

Agreed. My price is a little more but without rebates. I do like the fact that if I have any type of problem with the system I can take it to my service manager and say fix it with loaner, quick turn around etc, etc. BMW seems to be going in the direction of Porsche where if customers are going aftermarket for tuning they go to the source and seize the opportunity to sell it themselves.

this guy at a bmw dealer told me the exhaust will be $2,800. I find that hard to believe since my m3 m performance exhaust was like 4k.

noway dude Akrapovic evolution system for F30 335i which is made of SS is about 3k-3.2k $
M5 Akra system is made from Titanium and its dual pipes /dual mufflers
atleast 6k + titanium materials ~ 8k least
