Evolve F10 M5 ECU Flash

Following on from our tradition in developing on the M5/M6 platform (E39 M5 Headers, Intakes, Supercharger Kit and E60 M5 Headers, Intakes, Valvetronic Exhaust) we recently purchased our own F10 M5 and started developing on the FXX platform.

First up is the ECU tune which currently has to be bench flashed. We do this in house at our UK HQ but will be setting some of our dealers in the US to carry out the upgrade for US customers. OBD tuning once the ECU has been bench flashed will be possible at some point but we do not have a time line for this yet.

The results below are for our Stage 1 on 93 octane. We are developing a Stage 1 + and then a Stage 2 with our own DP's and Eventuri Carbon Intakes.

Vbox times to follow for each stage as soon as the weather clears up over here

2013 F10 M5 completely stock
Testing carried out on our Dyno Dynamics in Shoot Out mode.

Peak Power is up 71 WHP with up to 85 WHP in the mid range. Torque is up 90 WTQ. Tunes include top speed delimit and Stage 2 will include CEL delete for cat less DP's.

We are working on a more powerful tune for stock cars which will be Stage 1 + and will release it once we have carried out more road testing.

Here is a teaser of the Eventuri Intakes that are in development. A separate post on these will be made soon.

I don't get how these intakes can make power, is the air volume much bigger ? and also the heat soak if they sit under the hood

Great to see these results and great videos posted. Would love to take my car for a run to an event like this. The Ferrari driver must have been a little taken by the result.

Its the first time any tuned F10 M5 has attended any event like this in the UK so it surprised many people. A customer of ours was also there in his F10 M5 and he was also getting very repeatable results.

The driver of the Aventador LP700 had a run with me (beat me naturally!) but made a point of coming over and saying how impressed he was with how the M5 performed.

Can you comfirm the difference between your Stage I tune and the BR Performance Stage I remap please?

Not sure how I can answer that as I haven't personally seen a car running their tune in the UK.

In any event we have never compared any other tunes in the market in any of the platforms we tune.

LP700s trap 136-137mph, you would need to be tuned with bigger snails to run with him....
