Service History
Looking to get into an M5. 2014 Singapore Grey with 39k miles on it. Almost flawless. Car fax is clean, but no service history on it. Just that it was a leased vehicle bought at auction.
Any idea how to find out the service history? I call the dealership where it was leased, they would not give out service history unless I was the owner of the vehicle. Also, anything I should be looking out for when inspecting/test driving this vehicle? What are the common problems? Thanks! Last edited by painoz; 12-10-2016 at 07:57 PM.. |

i hate when dealerships acts like dicks. Call different dealers to find out history. The only important thing imo, is making sure it had the 1200 service done. If it has not, the car CANNOT BE CPO'd down the road. Please keep that in mind.
Also, in service date would be important too, that way you know when factory warranty is up |

You can try emailing the finance guys for an warranty quote check. They'll sometimes send you the printout showing what's available and the service history. Ask to buy extended warranty and maintenance. Some cars aren't eligible for extended anything nor CPO.

Nice car fully loaded full leather LED heads exec driver asst BO looks like warranty and service good for another 8 mos. try to wiggle a $1000 more off. Definitely get history, strange that BMW dealer in CA would not have sold it themselves since it has all options and could have been CPO and sold at a premium.
