Can you briefly tell me the difference between all 3.
JB4 + BCM w/o backend flash tune I assume this is just like off the shelf map from JB4. All users share same exact tune/file Flash ONLY This is non JB4, it's from other tuner tune (dyno tune or just ECU flash from other vendors/tuners) JB4+BCM+Backend flash tune Is this custom tune with JB4+BCM already installed? Am I correct? |

I assume this is just like off the shelf map from JB4. All users share same exact tune/file Correct, BMS has several maps preloaded on the JB4. There is map 6 where the user can customize it some. Flash ONLY This is non JB4, it's from other tuner tune (dyno tune or just ECU flash from other vendors/tuners) Correct JB4+BCM+Backend flash tune Is this custom tune with JB4+BCM already installed? A backend flash is an ECU flash tune designed to generally control fueling and timing amongst other things, leaving the piggyback to control boost. The JB4 can only take you so far. As you push more power and/or start using meth/e85...the fuel demands change and the car can only adapt so much. This is where the backend flash helps. In other words, your car will run more efficiently and in turn, produce more power over JB4 alone. FROM BMS: Map 0: JB4 disabled Map 1: 4-5psi over stock additive. Suggested for most pump gas applications with and without BCM. Map 2: 22psi peak absolute. BCM required. In some cases we've found this map maxes out the factory fuel trims. In those cases only map1 or map3 can be used without meth injection. Map 3: 18psi peak absolute. Map 4: Stock map w/ CANbus enabled Map 5: //M map ramping boost up to redline (BETA) Map 6: Custom target map Map 7: 25psi peak (e.g. race gas, BCM required) Map 8: Progressive meth map. Peak boost based on meth additive. 0 = 19psi, 75 = 30psi. BCM suggested. Note without BCM all maps, especially the higher target maps, will under target on boost.
