The reason I don't want to do a flash tune yet is because I want to get out of my M5 and get into a Gran Coupe that's why everything I'm doing I want to be able to move over

Man, that sucks. New BCM costs $200 I think on BMS site, but I don't know if it can be added to JB4 if they're not purchased together. Might be worth asking on n54tech or emailing bms.
I lucked out with my jb4 purchase. @13M5F10 had it all loomed up and cut to length for me. I may have paid a slight premium for everything given its used status, but it was totally worth it. The only issue is with Jb4Connect Rev3...it works only 10% of the time. |

Just added 103 oct to my 1/2 tank of 93. Should be around 98. Only driven 2 miles on it so far, will burn though the tank and eventually will be full 103 octane. Can't wait to see the difference. It is def not cheap though

As for the BT, the issue I've always had was trying to connect after disconnecting while the car was still running. Once the car shuts off completely, I had no problems connecting to it when I started back up. Car had to completely shut down it seems if you want to reconnect. I always kept it connected if I had intentions to use it then entire trip. Its a known issue with the BT connections. Hopefully they have a fix soon for it maybe during a software upgrade. I'm curious if it would be better going straight off the fuse box where it shuts off / on properly with the car instead of being directly connected to the battery. I would assume it's always running hence causing the connection issues. Dunno just a thought. Make sure you talk to Ted on N54 and see what's up with that issue.

I know I got a deal when I saw it was all loomed up. Initially, I had the Bluetooth hooked up to the red 12v terminal, but I read that it should be connected to 5v power, so I used a posi-tap connector to hook into the red jb4 wire (has two, but either one works).
Good to know the trick to Bluetooth is to connect the first time and don't disconnect...I won't be able to use my phone, though. I hope they fix it because its a neat little device. |

I usually do all that while sitting in car. Once car is back on it works and I just keep it connected the entire time. Glad you like the setup, hey, at least you got the BCM ... Hahahaha damn that sucks what the OP is going through. What a nightmare

Did another log on Map 2 with mix of 93oct and 103, coming out to roughly 98 octane.
I am finding power to be inconsistent on Map 2, but it could be related to heat soak and high temps and humidity we are having in south florida. |

Map2 inconsistency can be due to a number of things:
octane / quality old firmware wrong user adjustment settings (PID Gain, FF, et) look at the n54tech.com thread under S63Tu for guidance Post a new thread in their logs section for help as well |

Is the JB4/BCM universal in that it can be swapped from a 335 to an M5? Sure, the wiring in the car itself is different but are the JB4 boxes themselves really that much different?
