Anyone strength their transmission? After tune any slippage?

Anyone thinking of to strength their transmission after the extra power from the tune?

Any good company to recommend?

Anyone having slippage on their clutch?

What the maximum power our transmission can hold up to?

Any input will be helpful.

I have heard that original HP/tq + 25% is a round about number that ///M's have safety been able to make without issue . After that all bets are off in regards to reliability.

I do not have first hand experience with this, but plan to keep my car in the 700-715 range.

Good findings, anyone tried levelten? I thought of sending my whole gear box to them for upgrading since they claim of a full transmission upgrading including valebody upgrade, clutch plate change & TQ converter upgrade for about $5k. Anyone have experience with them?

The DCT doesn't have a torque converter . Honestly the stock internals are fine as long as we are stuck to stock turbos ,it's the DCT software that needs to be adjusted . I'd honestly try that first especially since you will need the DCT software tuned for new clutch materials anyway as the slip point , tip in etc. will all be different than for a stock clutch .

If you did a ton of launches with you're tune as aggressive as yours is that's absolutely possible .

Ya I agreed with you if I did, But I didn't even launch for once not even a single tried.

Can it be the TQ is too high bcos of the higher boost that I'm running? Mostly happened in the 4th gear on auto mode.

Ah it's probably kick down when in auto causing the problem . Yes it's the increased tq . For now def shift manually and don't floor it in auto and use the kickdown feature .

The guys at tuningwerk.de do an upgrade. The problem is not with the clutches, they replace other components. They have done a lot of M5/M6s already, so they have the experience. Dodson plates are usually quite aggressive so I am not sure you want to do that, and also leave important other parts stock.

Correct the app for the Vbox sport only works with an iPhone . But the device if turned on is still recording data so you can look at it on a computer using race logics software .

My case is the clutch problem, last week just got it replace. Maybe the TQ is too high so i will be looking to upgrade the clutch too & see what else they can offer to strengthen the other parts.

Believe or not i got less than 3k miles on the clock......

How accurate do u think is the Dash command performance gauge to measure the 1/4 mile n other trap speed? Did u compare it with yr Vbox?

Not even close as it just uses you're phone GPS and gyros and crude calculations .The Vbox sport is a 20hz data logger with algorithms and gyros designed to be extremely accurate in doing these measurements .
