E-Race with mid pipes and downpipes sounds amazing. But incredibly loud. Still my favorite exhaust sound.

The E Race is the absolute best stand alone axle back exhaust system for the F10 M5. Even better than the Turner Motorsport axle back muffler delete system. Of course in my opinion the RPi GTM is the best full system, but for strickly axle backs, the E Race wins hands down. The E Sport is just a toned down version of the Race, but neither are too loud.

Oh Ok, with that setup, either muffler it will be loud, but I've heard it before and it sounds very good. If you simply want a bit of a quieter sound, then go with the Sport. I'd personally go with the Race in that setup as the fun factor will be increased.

Go with the Race. It is quiet when cruising. It is really only crazy loud on cold start up and WOT.
Turn off the cold start and it perfect!

If you are not young and have any thoughts and care for your ears, brain, friends, family and neigbours, police etc go for a quieter exhaust- if it turns out to be too quiet and I daught it as the OEM is on the loud side out side the car but just a little muted inside, you can always sell and 'upgrade' to a nosiey system.
What I have found is the louder exhaust seems like a good idea but in practice is ALWAYS a mistake in the long run - you just look (sound) like a antisocial knob abd broard cast you are putting you foot down to every police officer and person who wants to report you. Nearly all manufactures 'pipe' engine noise into the cabin now (mechanical like pipes off the air box to the dash or electronic which we have). |

Define "custom OEM exhaust," please. Mid pipes and what has been customized on the rear section? That definitely doesn't sound like OEM mufflers.
