Ambient lighting

Hey guys the ambient lighting on the 2014 M5 is very light , almost not noticeable . I had the ambient lighting on my 2013 e92 m3 and that was much more noticeable. I made the setting change in the idrive as well as the interior dimmer set it all the way to the brightest . Is there a way it could get brighter and a little more noticeable ?

I too would like to increase the brightness of the ambient lighting. For night driving I keep the interior lighting set to the lowest level which essentially shuts off the ambient lighting.

I agree, I think the ambient lighting on the F10 M5 is very dim. Even on the E60 M5, I thought the ambient lighting was better.

Have any of you been in an Audi A8? The ambient lighting in that thing is like a spaceship. So cool on that car. Why can't we get that stuff on the M5?!

I guess the only way to change it might be coding or switch out the bulbs.

The new S63 ambient lighting is ridiculous. Super bright and can choose color from a color wheel.

Better lighting is coming.... The new X5 is awesome. It's got the latest current tech so we should see that trickle into other models as time goes on.

Has anyone found if there is a way to make the ambient lighting brighter? What color is supposed to have when set in Modern? Mine does not light up when set in modern

You can replace some of the lights with leds
B&O is affected by the ambient setting

If you turn up the instrument display lighting brighter, the ambient lighting will get brighter. I don't know why they connected the two, but since I don't like the IP real bright my ambient lighting is real dim also.

Bringing an old thread back to life!
I just noticed that even with my headlight position in off, the B&O tweeters in the window corners are lit. Normal? Are the speakers in the doors supposed to light also. Mine don't. Only center dash and tweeters for mine...
