im pretty sure fatigue is perceptable. so in order to eliminate that you would need a perceptable change.

theyre completely useless. even more so than the cooled seats.
man, I wish i did invent it
they "prevent" fatigue and muscle ache by constantly changing your muscle fiber lengths very slowly (not quickly like a massager)
human senses can only detect a difference of about 10%, with the exception of weight where a difference of about 7% can be appreciated

the heating seating feature? thats on pretty much every car over 30 grand isnt it?
No, I'm not kidding. They are barely perceptible but make a difference on a long trip. And yes, heated seats are about on every car, but once again, BMW does a better job. My 2012 Grand Cherokee's seats are pretty lame in comparison and take a long time to heat up.

My question is related to the cooled seating feature. I can barely notice that the seat is cooling, other than hearing the fan over my shoulders. I had my car in the dealer today for the 1200 mile service and they said that it is working as expected. Other cars I have ridden in with this feature have worked much better....more noticeable cooling.

Do all of you have this experience with the seat cooling feature? I am running the fan on high (three blue lights on)

Thanks.

-Mark
The car doesn't have a seat cooling feature. It has a seat ventilation factor. If you can hear the fan in the seat, then the seat ventilation is working.

I had MB E550 coupe 2010 and had cooling seats and wow it felt like ice touching my back and legs and buttocks, surely M5 is just ventilated seats

But I never missed that feature though I liked it then -

Thanks for the feedback everyone....I guess what can you expect on a $100k car....guess my expectations were too high.

And the Butt Massager....I actually like the feature and find it to be perfect. Anything more would be annoying for more than 5 minutes.

Love the car otherwise...thanks.

Rather than start a new thread, I decided to add to this discussion.

Starting today, I realized that my seat ventilation is not working. Previously, it was very obvious when they were on (especially on level 3). Perhaps it's because of the warmer weather, I thought? Nope. The fans aren't running. Same on the passenger seat. I'll check again later, but has anyone experienced this before. If so, are there any non-dealer visit fixes known (e.g. a reset)?

YES! I have a March 2014 car with a bunch of HVAC problems, including the seats. First, the seats aren't working, period. Next, Max AC doesn't work. Then there are several different voice/bling features that are actually distorted. To end, Park Distance activates for no apparent reason.

I am praying I have effed up software. I have been down this road before with BMW and it's not pretty. Something is very wrong with the HVAC, including the cooled seats, for sure.

I've them in my F10 535d - lamest feature ever IMO.

Could be useful in tropical humid places like HK, Singapore?.
