Gents,

Looks like Fidelio is off the coast of Acapulco. I think it's supposed to pull into Manzanillo, Mexico tomorrow though.
Also hurricane Paul looms up north but looks like it is moving to the north and weaking and could be disapated when the Fidelio pulls out of Manzanillo.

I just hope that no Mexican drug cartels sieze our M5's.

Damn this wait is killing me. I've got the manuals read (twice), and a couple boxes of IND parts sitting right next to me, waiting for their new home.

Agreed, I need this danged car to get here so I can get back to work! Checking in here, and at marinetraffic, sailwx and the port site several times a day is killing my productivity lol.

MY IND parts are still in the mail. Should be getting here by tomorrow though. I've also got Opti-Coat 2.0 in the mail still. I also have an exhaust being made for me at this moment too.

I wish the FIDELIO had a bolder Captain, damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead!!!

Up the Baja now in range of AIS. 2 days out!

Any word on if the VPC has oil pumps? And if we get a delay of any significance?

I can't get any confirmation if the VPC has oil pumps and parts. So right now I'm just praying that they've got a supply ready to put on our cars.

+1..this is what I am hoping for too. Considering that most of the cars which have had issues are repaired, and, we are the last of the ED cars with bad pumps arriving stateside I am optimistic that there will be minimal delays. We will see though.

Dudes,

Here's the latest update this morning. She's almost here! Just one more day! I don't know which is harder, waiting for the day to go pick it up at the Welt, or waiting for the day for when it gets back home.

So, if cars get dropped off at Port tomorrow, how many days to do the Oil Pump swap, any other VDC work, clear customs and get trucked to dealer? I assume many of us on that boat are buying via Jon at BMW of Santa Barbara.

I have a window next Thurs, 10/25 when I could pick up, but am thinking that is optimistic. My next window would be the following Thursday 11/1.

What are other peoples' guesstimates/pick up plans?

Fidelio looks like it will be in US waters within a couple hours.

Cepheus Leader, as per the usual, is nowhere to be found. grrr

Got my Opti-Coat 2.0 and my IND parts in today when I got home from work. Yay! Gonna clean the garage out this weekend to get ready for the beasts homecoming. I think the it will take about 8 to 9 days once it hits Port Hueneme for those of us picking up at BMW Santa Barbara.
