WOW - just got my Center Diffuser (Painted azurite black over carbon) from IND -

FANTASTIC fit, and overall complements the car incredibly!
Expensive but can highly recommend it.

I had it painted to keep the OEM look and am very happy about it - also got the front lip which i will post later.

Do you have the OEM rear diffuser or do you need the RKP rear diffuser to attach the center diffuser with the fins? Also do you know if you can still open the trunk with your foot with the diffuser?

Standard OEM diffuser - self installed - took all but 15 mins.
I think you loose the foot comfort access.

Nate, so the center diffuser is from Challenge? http://ind-distribution.com/ind/bran...enter-diffuser I didn't see a Center Diffuser on your website from RKP. Do you have better pix of the 1x1 versus 2x2 Challenge center diffuser? Thanks

I was wondering if a solution for CA might be just to wrap the BMW centre piece section with a carbon fibre wrap pattern. not ideal but it'll do the trick and is sorted of concealed that most folks wouldn't notice it.. the RKP rear piece is on the list for the new motor for sure.

The 102mm tips are very close but not touching. The camera angle makes them look even closer.

I would like to see some more pic with the rear center diffuser installed. Can you tell its CF if you say 10' behind the car? I wonder if this was made out of plastic if it would the CA would work (I would assume so) ?

I am on the fence becauseIi like the CA... Also thinking about getting it painted the same color as the car. So plastic maybe better.

I have this shot here of the RKP + Challenge center. Correct if the Challenge part was made in plastic mostly the CF would function.

+1.

I'd rather have a plastic one which supports CA. Make it the same color plastic as the OEM diffuser. Don't want painted since paint scratches and the diffuser faces the road.

If it has to be painted, I would do matte black.

Hi Nate

Has anyone made a plastic diffuser centerpiece yet which is Comfort Access compatible?

At the moment there is no center diffuser option that is compatible with the "foot swipe" comfort access option.

How easy is it to install the centre section of the diffuser, is there a guide available at all?

Install is very simple since the diffuser uses an OEM BMW core for construction. The rear bumper cover is held in by a series of tabs that you will need to release. After the diffuser is off you then transfer the OEM plastic diffuser to the RKP then click the diffuser in place. Install time is around 20-30 mins.
