H&R Springs vs Comp Springs

What is the difference between drop? I have to assume the H&R is lower right?

My H&R come today. Can't wait to install

I believe so, a good measure (approximate) is to measure the wheel centre to arch lip vertically up. Stock CP suspension is 380mm F, 367mm R

Get the car as level as you can and average left and right, you'll be close enough to see how much lower H&R springs are

I had H&R's and it caused pretty bad negative front camber. The insides of my front tires were wearing a lot faster than the outer parts.

Did you get an alignment after they settled?

That is a must on any car with and aftermarket spring setup. You change the geometry

When I had hr the same happen to me as my inner wore out quickly leaving me really pissed off with tons of tire left to run on. And this was after I did everything I could do to get the front end right. Although I liked the way my car handle at that time, I don't like wasting money on tires. After buying kev3, corner balance and alignment I don't have the problem anymore

So, everyone running H&R springs has increased tire wear?

Negative. That probably would have fixed it somewhat.

Did you have to get aftermarket camber arms to get the camber back into spec?

Love the color

That drop, before settling, looks exactly the same as the Comp Pack springs

They'll settle well below Comp Spring heights; I was on H&R's before going with KW HAS.

So, how many miles/days for it to settle before I get an alignment?

I had a blowout. Car is lowered with H & R's. Looks like the negative camber wore out the inside edge of the tire till it blew.

Can this be fixed with a good front end alignment or is negative camber a fact of life with the H & R's and my tires will continue to wear badly?

I like the lowered look but not sure its very practical if I'm going to go thru tires.

You cant adjust the front camber without buying different arms. BMW has different set camber arms and there might be an aftermarket adjustable one.

Camber doesn't kill tyres, toe does. I ran nearly 4° camber on my M3, with almost zero toe (a very slight touch of toe in) and had even tyre wear.
