Do you want to clear it for the purpose of you not looking at it?
The codes will still be stored on the computer and the dealer will see it whether the light is on or not.

i want it for the purpose of not having it on the dash, if it would take long every time, i will put a piece of black tape, like Dave did

my dealer will have to live it

dealer CAN see regardless the CEL is on or off

You need an actual tune to remove the cell or a code reader to keep on resetting it.
