2014 M5 Rear Calipers

Hi,
In my 2014 M5, the rear calipers (blue standard caliper on M5) look so cheap and I want know whether it is possible to replace them with the 2014 M4 blue original BMW calipers or with Brembo break kit
Also want to know whether it is true if I replace the original rear caliper with Brembo the parking break will be disconnected?- since I have 6 speed parking break is important
Thanks in advance

It's the same exact brake caliper from the BMW 550i. I think they don't look too bad, although there is room for improvement like what you are alluding to. You could probably install a brembo caliper on the back and paint an ///M logo on it if you want.

As Dave said , the rear brake calipers are stock F10 550 parts
Due to the electric hand brake you can't "swap" out the rear calipers easily
We had a long chat with the guy designing the breaking system for the M5 on our visit to the M Studio and suggested if Ferrari and others can do a dual caliper setup maybe BMW can do one too ...

Someone on the forums actually designed a rear brake caliper cover to match the fronts. Was rather pricey but looked great.
