Just Ordered 2014 BMW M5

I traded my 2012 M5 in for the new 2014 M5 expected delivery is late September.

- San Marino Blue with Black Full Merino Leather
- Premium Package
- Connected Drive Services
- M Carbon Ceramic Brakes
- Night Vision
- Competition Package
- Speed Limit Info
- BMW Carbon Fiber Interior Trim

The wait begins again....

Nice. I expect mine around the same time. In Canada, you can directly order the Carbon Fiber trim?

I had to order it as a BMW dealer option, they will install it when the car arrives at dealership.

It doesn"t appear to be from the picture I saw of the nighthawk edition. The carbon fibre trim I am getting includes the trim on the console, cup holder cover and ashtray cover as well as interior dash trim and door trim

I saw it on the parts computer screen p/n 51-95-2-348-506 in Canada

Thanks. I looked up carbon fiber trim for 2013 5 series in US catalog. It costs about 3K and looks to be the same as in nighthawk edition. My dealer said I could not order so I am guessing I would have to do a post delivery install.

I have two questions, as I am close to order mine.

1) Anybody knows what is the silver / grey color that appears in the "leaked" pictures (car shown in a track, with competition package). Any idea of extra cost?

2) what are the "must have" options you recommend, considering i would not like / can not increase the base cost by more than 10 %? Some obvious ones are the 343M 20' wheels, Navigator

1) I have seen the colour but do not know the colour, guessing it could be Space Gray but I am not sure.

2) In regards to options, it is obviously a personal thing but my opinion if you are limited to 10 % up charge I would go with full merino leather and the competition package which is approximately 10 % of the base price of the M5 sedan in Canadian money. I don't know how that relates to pricing in Germany

Not sure about the US, but mine is on a boat coming to the UK, one of the first built.

I want it 1st September so it will be in storage for a few weeks
