Ha - actually just did. But as I remember there were some EPA issues holding up release at that time when the cars hit the US. I was curious how it worked on the European side.

I took delivery, in Munich, on March 6. I just missed a vessel sailing on March 9. My car was loaded aboard the Toreador on March 23. The ship arrives in Point Hueneme CA, on April 17, 25 days through the Panama Canal to the west coast. I expect to see the car the week of April 22. Winter seems to cut down on the wait time for redelivery.

This is good news - one vessel is leaving today but I doubt Im on that. When you tracked it did u notice that it populated on the shipping site under your Vin as it went on the boat or wsa it delayed a couple days. As of no theres no record found for my VIN on the Wallenius site

I emailed Kathrin Gaugele at LOGINOUT, LOGINOUT GmbH [drop-off-munich@loginout.de] and she wrote me that my car was going to be aboard the Toreador. She is able to locate and track a car by Owner's name and/or VIN#. I have not used the VIN# to track my car, just the ship's name. The Toreador just sailed from Southampton bound for Manzanillo, Panama and the Panama Canal.

Yea - love them on all the F10s so far. I went with Matte Brushed Titanium, hopefully I get my car before someone else gets the same set on AW.

Nice, I saw a set of matte brushed titanium's in the showroom when I picked mine up. They're going to look clean on AW.

Thanks again - Kathrin responded already - located my car in Bimmer Heaven and said my car will be booked after the Easter holiday, Ill have a ship name next week.

How would u describe the finish? Its hard to judge on the Modulare site, looks silver sometimes then other times looks gray.

Mine is on the Toreador too. Is your car a Black Sapphire M5? There was one there at the Loginout dropoff on March 7, maybe it was yours?

Mine is Jet Black but it is probably the one you saw.

The paint depth and finish are outstanding.

I can't get pictures to post on this site. The files are 22 mega pixels and are perhaps too large for uploading. I will try and shrink them and post them later.

Yep that was it. It looks outstanding in person. I have a '10 Jet Black M3 and the gloss doesn't look anything like that.

And yeah did you have to pay extra for the non spec colour?

Yes, I had to pay $5K for the "special color," actually I got a Euro discount of $4,810 and it is more than worth it.
