Side mirrors auto tilt downward ?

When you put the car (2015 M5 non cp) into reverse aren't the side mirrors suppose to automatically tilt downward so you can see how close you are getting to the curb, etc. My prior BMW 535i had this feature had this feature which was nice. Any suggestions?

Check the switch you use to adjust the mirrors, should be put to the left I believe for the feature to work.

Yes, you need to switch the button that toggles between mirrors to either the left or right side and then it should work.

the toggle switch for the mirrors does just that....it switches between the mirrors but does not tilt downward when in reverse !! has anybody else experience this?

There is a little confusion with mirror changeover switch! The switch in right position lets you change the setting of right side (passenger) and in left position lets you change the left (driver) side. In reverse gear, you have to slide it to left position (or leave it in left position permanently) and then only the right side mirror (passenger side) tilts downward!

thats weird.....any way to get both mirrors to tilt dwn on reverse.?

Did your 535 have this feature for both mirrors? My F13 650i didn't have it either...

not sure you can get both mirrors with coding - but you can get more of a tilt down with coding on the right side mirror. i've had mine done - shoot V12 a note, he'll get you sorted.
