I do have a question for when I have to remove for a dealer visit...did you not have to remove hose on the top of the IC? Also, I was happy to hear you were able to do this without having to remove the right 2 cooling lines (makes a huge mess)...was there still a decent amount of room? |

Lol, i just googled S63tu and used the pictures on there for my write up. I haven't been back on these forums for a couple of months since I sold my M3 & M6 and picked up a GTR again. Are you still rolling everyone in the M5?

I was dreading it initially as my car is already tuned but I have to send the ECU's out again to have the cold start disabled. One thing I did notice is the 2 torx screws pointed out in the picture on my car were actually a little larger than T20. I ended up grabbing a T27 bit and that worked but it may even be a touch larger than that bc it did move around a little bit. They weren't on that tight however so the T27 bit worked just fine. Also, I just worked the clamped hoses down by the clamps on the 2 coolant lines from each of the ECU's with needle nose pliers. They are on pretty tight but the hoses ended up sliding down off the nipples with the clamps still on in about 20 seconds of elbow grease each. I'm reading that there is very little pressure is in those lines so I'm planning on just pushing them back on with the clamps still in tact when I get the ECU's back. Thanks again for the picture.
