Exhaust Mod X-Pipe

Has anyone reworked there exhaust and created an x-pipe where the resonators were ..if so any noticable difference..

Currently have no mufflers and resonators and have catless downpipes..

Speaking to a colleague who has had x-pipe inserted where resonators were and existing pinched x- pipe on standard exhaust with brackets on either side replaced with straight pipe and smaller brackets and noticed increase in lower end power..

Having similar x- pipe created but not so sure as to where to have it inserted

Any advise and pics of similar setup will be appreciated

I had the magnaflow resonated x pipe to help reduce the drone and deepen the sound. Worked well and sounded amazing.

Keep I mind that there is already an existing oem x pipe you'll need to remove if you go that route.

I ended up later going the MSR route which was downpipes, MSR X pipe, and exhaust.

Thanks

Existing x pipe will be removed as it's pretty narrow and one made further up where resonators used to be but now straight pipes..presume that is the best location for it? If so does the length or type of x pipe make any difference and will it get rid of the drone I have

Thanks

Any pics will be appreciated as will assist fabricator

Did you just buy the Magnaflow X crossover and have it welded, or did you buy the full mid pipe?

Have you looked the Eisenmann mid pipe? Might be pricey for what you get but it might also be exactly what you are looking for

It was welded on. I was only able to install it where the resonators went.

Yes was tempted but am hoping after x pipe mine will be exactly same or very similar hence can't see point of spending more money.

Had an Akrapovic which I ended up selling as that would have made it a bit mature ..prefer the rebel sound hence retained the standard exhaust with no backboxes and no resonators..but at expense of slight drone..am hoping x pipe further up where resonators were will make a difference

So 13M5F10, do you think there will be a noticeable reduction in drone with the MF resonated x-pipe, muffler delete and stock downpipes? I recently did a custom muffler delete (sounds awesome), but still trying to get used to that drone....even with ASD unplugged!

Doesnt eliminate it completely, however, it was greatly reduced. My original setup was turner muffler deletes and the drone was obnoxious.

I also found driving in Sport + and D2/3 kept me out of the drone range and helped a ton
