Check out this front plate solution I just had made. Love it!

I did this with my e46 M3 back in 2004. Be careful with putting it on and taking it off bc after a while it will scratch the bumper. Also the front bumper picks up small pieces of metal during daily driving.

Other than that it works great. I drove around with my mine some times with no issues.

Nice bro. Yea others have used magnets as well and looks nice. I used a usmillworks.com plate on mine that screws into the front row hook. Always new ideas. That's great.

First off I can't take any credit. My installer did it. Basically using the OEM plate bracket he attached 4 strong round magnets then felt lined them. Then removed front bumper. Placed plate on and let the magnets "find" each other. Then marked location and attached to back side of bumper. Then replaced bumper.

Perfect fit and finish. He is a pro and has done this countless times.

Do you get nabbed a lot for no front plate? We are supposed to have them here as well but over the years I've only been stopped twice for not having one...

Can't see the picture, but that magnet idea is a good idea. However, I want no plate on my car. I've ran my 550 for the past few months with no plate and nobody has stopped me, but I don't want to risk it. Have you looking into a retractable license plate and programming it into the garage opener?

I have. But this is better. Way better. OEM look when on. Then disappears when you want it to.
