Here is my update

Released to Carrier
PRECISION MOTOR TRANSPORT GROUP
8/22/12

Dealer Delivery:
8/23/12

I understand BMW is using the "expedited" trucking option.

Not sure what that is....... Maybe it is the performance center instructors driving the trucks using their One Lap of America experience.

NJ to Minnesota.
I am thinking of it as 36 hours.

Yes seems hard to believe, but that is what the system is saying. Anyway out of town until Friday night.

But the dealer does have abox of stuff from Ind to install.

So just a word of warning, my dealer says that in his experience he's learned not to trust the expected delivery date reported because he's had instances where cars have shown up a week later as well as a few days earlier. So we should all take these expected delivery dates with a grain of salt, especially those of us in the midwest where it takes longer for the trucks to get out here.

Stopped by dealer today to confirm arrival tomorrow and now computer says arrival at dealer 8/22. But then he pointed out it hasn't even been released from the VPC so who knows now. They also said the same thing though that cars will arrive early or late without notice so the ETAs are suspect at best

My dealer practically said the same as well that the delivery dates are not guaranteed. Therefore, my CA won't give me a date to avoid putting me on another emotional roller coaster!
