U.S. 2013 M5 Online Configurator Now Available
Following the release of the full U.S. 2013 M5 order and price guide last week, the U.S. M5 online configurator is now available at BMWUSA.com.
The U.S. 2013 M5 order bank is set to open soon (we were told sometime the first week of May), at which point dealers will find out their M5 allocations and be able to submit customer orders. Production for U.S. bound M5s begin in July, for September delivery, and M5 European Deliveries begin in early September. For more information and discussions regarding M5 pricing, ordering, and tracking, see our new subforum F10 M5 Pricing, Ordering, Tracking, and European Delivery |

Looks like it's still in beta stage and has some kinks to be worked out.

Yeah its a mess, cause I ain't paying for no 8K brakes when I don't track. And you can't get wood with the Plantinum leather either. NO way that is right.

Must still be working out the kinks - because you cant access it via BMWUSA, or I couldn't. You also cannot re-select aluminum trace trim after you select something else.

It appears to still be in beta stage so it's not officially linked and published yet.
But you can access its current form by clicking on the image in my first post above.

I noticed that there is no option for Piano Black wood trim.
Also does the alcantara headliner come standard on all US cars or is it not available on extended leather cars?! In Europe if you get full leather the alcantara headliner is included, if you only get extended you can add the headliner. |

It seems that way on the usa config. For 5,500 the Executive package seems worthless to me, if you can get comfort access on its own.

Fingers crossed. I don't mind paying for the HUD.... I really dont NEED the heated steering wheel or rear seats, soft close doors or power tail gate...

I think it is a good thing. In the guide it said (est.) so maybe they had not heard yet from the Government. M3 config has it on there. M6 convertible does not. I would figure it's gas mileage to be a bit worse with the same engine.

BMW's leather colors are shitty for the M cars. The regular BMWs have more choice. With the M5 its either black/dark or very light and not very practical. Platinum is about the only one I like now.
