Ecu Tune + JB(BMS) Stack

Hey all,

First of all i am posting on m5/6 forums because a good chunk of you have Tunes/flashes/piggybacks.

I drive a 2014 550xi (N63TU)
Mods- Active autowerks Catless Exhaust, Meistershaft exhaust and a Custom Dyno tune from Enzo Preformance.

Maineline dyno 500AWHP which would equate to roughly 550-560whp on a dyno jet) and 520Whp with E85 Mix. which puts me roughly at 580-600whp on dynojet. (Dyno queen =))

I recently ran a best time of 11.5 @118mph(93 gas) with a Faulty 5th Gear, Car shudders in 5th gear from 4.5k-5.2k then it goes, Could be a MAF issue car is under diagnosis. I am missing a few MPH lol My 1/8th mph is 96-97Mph (for reference)

Anyway, I am curious If anyone here has Stacked Tunes? if so has there been an improvement in power? issues, etc..?
I am really hoping to push this car to its limits before I pickup a new toy.

Thanks!

I could only imagine. Really trying to keep it bottoms and tune until I get the New M5 or CTSV.

There car has some more juice in her for a potential low 11sec run.

I want to stack tunes for that difference but am curious to see if anyone has any experience stacking and what kind of results were gained on a fully tuned ECU

Before you claim dynojet numbers, dyno it on a dyno jet please, my numbers were about the same on mainline and dynojet. As far as stacking I wouldn't stack it unless you have some extra fueling (meth) at least before you get actual jb4 so you can log all the parameters.

Yes sir! i am just waiting for my wife to let me out.

Also, Mainline dyno that I dynoed M5 F10 are dynoing stock 480-500whp (Enzo Performance in Long Island)

I will def do a dynojet comparison, projections and assumptions open up more questions then answers.

I did 70/30 E85 Mix with the JB and the car felt like a Rocket! Clocking 3.3 0-60 on my Vbox constantly with the JB stacked and without the stack 3.4.

Apparently our engines dont mind E85, the 3.0TT love it more but hey, take any advantage we can get right.

The fact that it's x drive it's crazy at least you can use all that power

I believe the only thing you could "stack" with the JB4 would be a meth setup.

I think that an honest answer would only come from someone who actually spent some good dyno time making adjustments if you stacked JB with any tune. Due to the fact that the JB allows you to tweak it and maybe your ECU tune has access to make that as well ?
The possibility of having the programed file in the JB box and the programmed file on your ECU tune conflicting with eachother without adjustments is very well possible.
There are tuners now that can do a true ECU custom tune here in the states.
I know that Jailbreak Tuning has successful custom tunes on these F series engines. There are here in California tho.

You are correct good sir. My ECU tune is a custom Dyno Preformed by Enzo performance. They have the capabilities to do a full on custom tune.
They have M5 F10s that I have seen with 50/50 E85 Cranking out 650+whp on a mainline dyno.
They are able to adjust all parameters. Very Solid Shop.

I am planing to go back and run some more tests with a JB Stacked on my ECU tune to see if power curve changes or if further tweaking can be one with the JB stack.

Oh yea, main reason Why i got the 550xi, and the fact that I live in NYC.

My 0-60 on a Vbox Proven consistently is Low 3s. (3.4-3.2)
My best 60ft at track was 1.64.

Granted its no M5 after 100MPH it makes me smile with all the usable power.

You my friend are making me very tempted into pushing the trigger on an M5 sooner rather then later.

Not to thread jack or get off topic but yes GSR teamed up with Jailbreak Tuning (west coast) but here in the east coast EnzoPerformance is the man with the Tuning Power in his facility.
Not to thread jack
But I haven't seen any Enzo that had made any passes besides M235 stage 3 turbos that did 11.8 i blive. Rob can chime on that.

But if u really want a good Tooner with proven System
Check Dmetuning or Precisiontuning
Only ones with 10 sec Time slips and made the heaviest Car Alpina go 10 sec

Mcb M5-Dmetuning 10.6
SO M6 - Dmetuning 10.3

M4-Precisiontuning 10.3
AlpinaB7- Precisiontuning 10.9
E63s stock Turbo-Precisiontuning 10.6

^^ All great tuners, but have to give credit to BPM as well.

I have a custom version and only 9s pass to-date, fastest MPH @ 142.5, fastest 0-60 @ 2.5s VBOX verified, fastest 1/2 mile @ 175.3mph

Need to ensure all facts are represented
