I have the Evolution Racewerks downpipes with Eisenmann Race exhaust. It is SIGNIFICANTLY louder than stock, specifically cold start; which doesn't bother me too much. The one thing that took some time to get used to is the smell; when you have the car running in the garage for too long or if you sit at a stop light with windows down, the smell can be unbearable, I wouldn't recommend having children breathing than in. Your exhaust tips will also be darker and get dirtier quickly. Also, unless you have a tune, you will get a check engine light about 50 miles after you install them. In regards to install, 7 hours is OUTRAGEOUS. My friend installed mine for me; and even when we ran into a little issue with getting one of OEM DP's off, the install roughly 2.5 hours.

Some people are definitely more sensitive to the smell. All my cars have had caltess DP, the only time i smell it is on cold start if i keep the car on idle for couple minutes

Smell will always be there but the power available form downpipes makes up for it. Make sure you get a tune and get cold start deleted. It makes the whole experience much more pleasant. Haha

Make sure to buy new downpipe and exhaust gaskets (OEM). Reusing them may cause a rattle noise at low RPM.

This is necessary, but results can be the same.
I changed my gaskets 3x till I finally gave up.

I personally felt like there was a loss of throttle response when down shifting, like a hesitation. Not not present unless downshifting.
Not much hesitation either, but might just be in my head
Someone else mentioned it too, buy says horsepower felt increased

They're a beautiful set of downpipes! Great fitment, proven performance, and made in Europe.

I was about to offer our help in sourcing these for you, but it looks like you may be local to Evolve, hehe.

They are 3" then step down to 2.5" to mate with a factory XPipe.
It does increase volume a little, but in-cabin we don't find them to be loud or drone-y at all!

Shoot Imran@Evolve a PM or email and he'll definitely sort you out!

Keep in mind one thing when buying products from Ebay
If product does not fit, you will need to pay for shipping it back + the 4-6 hour labor time ( 4 hour to try and install it. 2 hours to install the OE ones back)
Sometimes it makes much more sense to pay extra for a proven brand

Will he also refund you shipping (both ways) and 5 hours of labor as well?

Fair valid points..
all I am trying to do is ascertain from those with expertise and know how
If both the above and others like the evolve are exactly the same in terms of materials used what am I paying the extra £500 plus for?

Is it just massive markups or is there actually a difference?

Obviously looking at the pipes they look very similar and are made using stainless SS304 with 80mm tube and 2.2mm thickness
In terms of fitment he has assured it is 100 % fitment
