I love my B&O, I have a black interior so for me full leather isn't a big deal. When it came down to it it was either Comp pack with B&O no full leather or Non Comp pack with full leather and no B&O, no regrets!

Thanks to all for the feedback. Full leather it is. In my current 2013 I have neither, I'm also looking forward to comp package!

If you had to choose between the car with B&O or full leather which would you choose? I'm leaning towards full leather but would like to hear opinions from others.

Thanks, in advance!
Full leather looks nice but the B&O sounds awesome. However, full leather doesn't rattle when you accelerate on the highway

If you like and listen to music a lot, and high quality music, B&O. I have a black interior and IMO you don't notice the leather that much.

My biggest love for full leather is the fully upholstered door panel with the stitching running along the bottom and into the door pockets. My previous car was a F10 550, and I think that once you've had the same car without leather, you'll really notice and appreciate the difference the extended leather makes.

I once saw an M5 on the showroom floor with every single option. It had Comp Package, B&O, rear seat entertainment, Carbon Brakes, Exec and DA packages, the works, except for Full Leather! I was like, who was the idiot that spec'd this car out?!

If you ride with other people in the car a lot, the B&O is a waste. It's a system that is really meant to be enjoyed by yourself in the car. The Full Leather adds a level of luxury that truly sets the M5 apart from the rest of the cars in the same class.

If the cars you are looking have black interior , the B&O would be a nice contrast in your eyes and in your ears .

If we are talking on any other interior color, then go full leather as still your eyes will see the nice view while your ears will not feel any dissapointment from HK .

I heard the B&O at BMW Greenwich. Definitely not a game changer from the HK. I would have been very disappointed had I spent the money without hearing it.

I always try to get the best interior offered. Full leather with the luxury seating package. Just the smell is worth it.

Has to be full leather. You simply cannot have an M5 without full leather, but an M5 without B&O is acceptable.

I bot a 2015 with BO and Extended Leather. I thought extended was full and was disappointed when I went to pick it up. I paid to have BMW install the leather dash but if I had it to do over I'd get both from the get go.

Well that is the problem, the RR has to live in the driveway while the Porsches stay in the garage. I hated leaving the M5 out and that is part of the reason I traded it. The RR is nice but I don't mind parking it outside since it's a 2012.

Full leather and then get aftermarket stereo upgrade. Easier to do than the reverse. Luckily I have both, but if I was faced with that choice, that is what I would do.

I agree with this comment. Friend has full leather in Brown and I have Sakhir, two good colors for full leather!

I had the same choice too when i got mine. There were 2 cars available for around the same money, one with B&O and the other with full merino......i chose the full merino and would do it again in a heartbeat!

Too bad you are in Texas or I would design and build you a fine carriage house. I'm a contractor here in Ffld county Ct and we occasionally work in Westchester NY and on the Vineyard, Nantucket and Block island. If you are ever looking for a second or third home in this neck of the woods do contact me. We've built some very cool stuff for the well to do.

B&O as a defense mechanism so I don't feel bad about having no full leather -

I saw a CLS63 AMG 2006 recently and it's luxury because of gull leather shocked me but still can't imagine driving my M5 without B&O which shocked a 911 turbo 2009 friend of mine !!

Not everybody is happy with the B&O, to the point where they say it only does a much better job in treble and in looks.

In any case, you can upgrade the HK significantly by putting in new speaker, which is also comparably easy to do. You can't upgrade the leather.
