bringing this back up to life. Im considering the Eibach springs. KW HAS is a bit out of reach right now given the other mods i want to do. Could someone do a comparo between stock and the eibach? Are they much stiffer in all modes? I live in NYC so comfort will be key as the roads here is not exactly that great. thanks!

Eibachs have been on my car for the past 2+ years now and i love them! They ride great, lower about an inch and looks amazing esp if u add spacers like i did. Ill be selling them within 2 weeks if youre interested so PM me. My new car should be arriving by the month's end.

They ride great on smooth and ideal roads I guess, but what about uneven and bad roads? Being progressive springs does it add comfort on bad roads compared to stock springs?

It is firmer than stock but ride relatively good on bad roads. I live in NYC and the roads are beyond horrible!

correct, eibach are just spring replacements.

pricewise i think they are all relatively the same not unless a vendor on these boards are running a specials.

i also will drop my m5 when it arrives. not sure which springs i will go with (most likely h&r)

i have a body shop, so i have access to tools etc.. do i need anything special for the install?

also, springs won't effect anything electronic etc. right?

Vogtland's are also an excellent choice. I have Eibachs and love them but Vogtland's are every bit as good as the Eibach's.

Could you post some pics of your ride height? do you feel the drop is even or does it have a forward rake? I dont like the ACS as it has a reverse rake. I think HR has a good drop but im going against it due to some ppl complaining about the bounciness.

Taken just this morning at Cars and Coffee. Drop is perfect on the Eibachs. The Vogtland's have the same drop as well. The stance may appear to be more raked in the back but the ride level is even. H&R's have always been too low and too stiff no matter what car you put them on.

BTW this picture is unedited.

I've had H&R and now am on Eibachs. H&R is bouncy and gives that raked look. Eibachs are really comfy and give a balanced stance. I prefer it a bit lower though. So if I had to do it all over again, I'd pick KW HAS.

what is the "raked" look?

which one is lower, the eibach, or h&r? or roughly the same?

Raked is when the front is lower (or appears to be lower) than the rear.

Eibach and H&R drop the rear approximately the same, but H&R drops the front more than Eibach.

Really? I wonder if CP Shocks and such make a difference because I don't have any bounce with my HR's.

How much of a difference did you see going springs as opposed to stock comp, is it that much lower or not really?

think i'm going to go with H&R, price isn't bad, need a subtle drop, no effects on EDC.. why not..
