Won't know the full details but from the list provided, I don't see anything that should've been on the car from the beginning other than the sport suspension (which I thought it already had or had some variation of it given it's a M car) and maybe the exhaust. Other than that, the current M5 isn't missing anything the LCI M5 will have.

I don't think anyone is mad at the power the current M5 has, the 10-20HP increase is just a bonus same could be said about the speed increase.

It's right having the ceramic brakes as an option. I could only imagine how much more expensive the M5 would've been if it came stock.

Sport suspension/exhaust (see above)

Don't know what "enhanced steering" means so I can't really say much about that.

Sorry I should have specified, I was talking more about the sportier suspension and steering.

Grille shape looks different than pre-lci, no?

Not going to be an easy swap IMO. Would need bumper and possibly lights as well?

If this package were offered on the M6 GC, it would make the $/feature ratio more attractive....

Possible, but you have to take into account that the ring around the kidneys are still covered. Then there is the camo which is actually deceivingly effective. It distorts the shapes without you even realizing it.

I agree with some here on the LCI coming too soon. I'd be happy with either M5....just can't justify the numbers. The video didn't really showcase the sound very well.

Looks good. Hopefully it does gain power as the Merc are pushing harder with all these special editions.

The driver is going balls to the walls. Those wheels look exactly like the wheels on the MB E63 I saw today.

We knew or at least hoped that BMW would do something with the steering, so it was reassuring to see it in the list but it was definitely surprising to see sport suspension listed. Until there's full details on what's changed with the suspension, that's a big "WTF BMW?" and agree that it's something that should've came by default and not through some package.

This could be one expensive software update... The rims look like the 220M but three less spokes they may save a lot of weight... This package may save money if you tick all those options

I'm curious on the sport suspension and hope the steering is dialed in better stock as well

Will the F10 live that long series wise or will the G frames roll out sooner than expected? didn't think LCI would roll so soon

Not really sure I understand a "Competition" Package M5. If I want to "compete" I am going to use either my GT3 Cup or MX5 Cup not a huge sedan. Don't get me wrong this car is a perfect street car but I just don't understand how the term "Competition" fits.

In my opinion, this package will only benefit those that will serious track their vehicle on a regular basis or require the "ultimate" package to satisfy their personal desires. The stock F10 M5 already has far more than sufficient power for American Streets and Highways. I seriously doubt that the 15 - 20 horsepower increase will be detectable by 99% of F10 M5 owners.

I am more than satisfied with my 2013 M5. I do not view the LCI updates as improvements. I may be in the minority but I do not like the new grill with the cute little M5 logo and I really do not like the M6 steering wheel. To each his own.

the exhaust sounds good. i think BMW should also reduce some weight with this LCI update, maybe 100lbs? or 150? i know i am just dreaming.
