Smile 3M Di-Noc Trim Wrap (PHOTO HEAVY)

Hi Guys,

Been reading here for a long long time, finally had time to do some project lately, nothing too fancy, just wanted to see what the wrap result could look like instead of buying a new set of carbon fiber trim, this was more of a fun trial.

Purchased my 3M wrap from Bimmian, feel free to ask if you got any questions, hopefully this will be useful for anyone thats looking to wrap or swap out your trims.

Nice. I did that exact same thing in my old E60 M5. I found that over time, that the vinyl Carbon Fiber can get scratched easily and loses its appearance. Perhaps if a gloss Carbon Fiber Vinyl was used it could be more resilient. After my experience with what you just did, I decided I wouldn't do it again.

I agree, there are many wrap products out there, which is why I purchased mine from Bimmian, didnt want to risk any fake products to begin with. so far the 3M Di-Noc had got the best reviews from what I searched, so I thought I'd try it myself, from what I experienced, this product is quite strong, I was heating it at 750F in order to soften the edges so it can bend. surface withstand alot of my stretch, unless you purposely scratch the surface, it shouldn't get damaged easily.

so heat might be the only problem to this product, as in the US you guys can get pretty warm, so the wrap could also soften as the heat goes up. I will have to test it when it comes in summer, but in Canada we have 6 month worth of winter anyways.

Nope, you will need to buy them in certain sizes, then cut them to your preference. the key fob cover was a precut, but it only covered front and back, I had to cut some left over wraps so I can wrap the sides of the fob.

Damn that's awesome. Makes me wish I had carbon fiber interior. In Texas, it gets to over 100-105 in the summer. Bet the wrap couldn't withstand that.

Looks good. Perfect product.
Had all of my F01 chrome pieces
(Exterior) wrapped in exact same wrap. Including the diffuser.
Used it for 3 years. No wear and tear, no sun damage and no car wash damage whatsoever.
Great stuff!!!

That looks striking! The only concern I would have is if I get bored of it and decide to take it off what if there is adhesive all over the it and it won't come off...

thats why you have to buy the real 3M products, I would always heat up the area when peeling these off, same concept as the 3M clear bra.
