Received Today

I hope everyone is doing well and surviving the winter. The good news is Spring is around the corner with a lot of exciting news to share with you about upcoming events! For those of you located on the west coast, we recently announced our BMW Performance Center West located at the Thermal Club near Palm Springs, California. We are already in the process of booking those schools.

Also, we recently announced the dates of our BMW Advanced M Schools at both Road Atlanta and Virginia International Raceway. These two road race courses are two at the top of my list in the US and I’ll be racing at each one of these tracks in the next couple of months! As a matter of fact, if you asked me to choose which track I prefer…I could not tell you! I think Road Atlanta might be a bit more technical with the many blind corners. One of my favorite corners there is coming down the long back straight at over 140mph into a downhill section and under very hard braking into Turn 10 otherwise known as the “chicane”. A perfect place to take advantage of the M carbon ceramic brakes that we have on all of M school cars. You now exit the chicane and start climbing uphill to the famous Road Atlanta bridge for the best view of the long front straight.

Now, let’s talk about the hills of VIR. I think VIR is home to one of the most scenic sections of a racetrack in all the world and that is the “up-hill esses”. We enter the esses at the bottom at over 100mph and as you see this ribbon of asphalt to the top of the hill. You are banging from one curb to the other as you make your way to the top only to sense the lightness of your car at the crest of a steep hill. Not a better place to push yourself and a BMW M car to its limits!

If you are interested in booking, you can either do it on-line or by calling our reservation desk at: 888.345.4269. The tuition of Road Atlanta is $5,000 and for VIR it is $4,600. The difference in the two tuitions is that Road Atlanta includes your hotel accommodations at the Chateau Elan. I can promise that if you want to bring along your significant other, this winery and spa will score some big points! While the VIR tuition does not include accommodations, I would recommend you book your stay at the VIR Lodge.

The dates and current availability for both venues are:

· VIR:

April 27 & 28: SOLD OUT

April 29 & 30: Currently has 6 seats remaining

November 16 & 17: 12 seats remaining

November 18 & 19: 12 seats remaining

· ROAD ATLANTA:

June 22 & 23: 9 seats remaining

June 24 & 25: 14 seats remaining
September 14 & 15: 13 seats remaining
September 16 & 17: open

I expect both to sell quickly so you should make your decision soon. By all means, if you have any questions please feel free to drop me an email. I am happy to speak to you by phone; however, I am usually on the driving course until 4:30 each day. I have your email from your previous school and if for any reason you do not want me to contact you let me know and I will let remove you from my personal list.

Hope to see you guys soon!

All the best,

I got this same email.

Pretty exciting. Don't think I'm gonna participate this year though.

I gotta check up on the upcoming HPDE events this spring and summer though. I'm thinking about doing either Road Atlanta or Watkins Glen. I'm not allowed at Lime Rock due to my straightpipes. I may try NJMP also, we'll see.

I'm not going either. 5K is too steep for my tastes. I'd rather put that to a new car.

When is the new E63 coming out?

Going to pass at $5k. I think most of these guys that do this drive a 535 or 550 and want to feel an M car. I'd rather spend the $5k and take my M5 to a bunch of tracks and have fun or put it towards a new car like stealth.pilot stated.

I thinks it's going to be a long while for the next generation E63.

It will be the next Super Saloon in the cycle. Should be a heck of a lot better if the S63 AMG Coupe is any indication.
