Clean the wheel

I drive a 13's M5 with the standard 19 inches wheel(with many spoke). I had a hard time when I am cleaning it, especially the brake dust. I feel like I can never reach the inside part. Does anyone has any advice for me to clean my wheels?

Patience, time, a couple of full buckets of clean water and the below. The Sonax is the key. May take a couple of applications. Use brushes that don't have exposed metal parts that could scratch the finish. The other key is to do it frequently (with every wash) and either optic coat (when clean, once) or wax (after each wash).

Simply spraying won't do the trick - also, make yourself comfortable. You can't rush this process. At the end of the day, the wheels and the windshield are like a nice pair of shoes and a belt...make the outfit.

The combination of Sonax, wheel woolies, and electric power washer is key to cleaning your wheels. Frequent washing also helps. I have it down to 30 minutes for all wheels.

Thanks guys. Last time was my first time hand washing my car, and it was disaster. My question here is that does cleaning wheels more frequently reduce the squeaking sound made from the brakes?

Best product I have tried so far

Sonax Wheel Cleaner Full Effect works very well. When you spray the Sonax, a chemical reaction takes place and the Sonax reacts with the iron deposits and turns it purple so you know where they are. You can use a brush for stubborn deposits and after a few minutes just wash out well with water. Just don't let the Sonax dry up on the wheel as the instructions also cautions you against that.

I just use a wheel cleaner (P21S or Sonax, any cleaner really that isn't too harsh) wash it, then dry it with a microfiber towel. You can clean the barrels as well. Then put two costs of wax on. I usually let the wax cure for a few hours.
