these are all minor cosmetic changes.

The LED lights thing is more about unifying options than anything else.

The full leather interior interior in any color is the best thing noted to me -- opens up some options without doling out full individual prices.

Agreed. And one more minor change. There is a heated steering wheel notification in instrument cluster when in use. I specifically like that - don't have to try to peek on the side of steering to see when it's on or not.

That's actually a nice little addition. Clearly an engineering "miss" on the current cars.

Got the order sheets and info yesterday from the dealer...

New Exec price: $6,400

Some other notes: Comfort access now standard, not part of exec pack. Satellite radio with 1 year sub also standard, no longer part of exec package.

Base price on this order guide says $93,600, a difference of $700, not $600.

Also - what's the cost of the full individual colors vs. Extended individual colors? Thanks

Car is about $250-$300 more expensive if one orders all the options and packages (except CCB and night vision). You save $1000 on the LED, but lose $700 in base MSRP, and $500 for smartphone, and $25 for handling.

That being said, the cash incentive won't be there (guaranteed) and residuals are likely to drop. It's just how it always is. New models are never priced the same as outgoing ones. If it were me, unless I'm ordering an individual car that I cannot find elsewhere, I'd try to grab a 2014 while they are around. The first LCI year models are always the best ones because anything else that follows them are always more expensive and have almost little to no changes.

I always try to follow the LCI, last model cycle. So if you get one now in 2014, you can get the 2017 before it ends production which will also have amazing deals. Then by the time your 2017 lease is up, the new GXX is already 2 years old and LCI is out. You get my point

There's a lot of good info on here. Thanks for everyone's input of information. It is very interesting on the changes for MY15. I agree with Careful Drivers Logic and I am thinking about trying to get myself on that cycle. However, there are some things I like about the M6 too, and I'm wondering what changes are going to be made when the LCI M6 comes out in MY16, because I have an M6 on my mind as well.

I also want to add the M3/M4 to the cycle. If you get an LCI M5 now (2014), when your lease is up, you'll be in the M3/M4 sweet spot as well. It will be just like now with that car, LCI model just finishing production and new one starting. You'll be getting incentives, below invoice, possibly $800-900 payments for a fully loaded car.

If you are leading, completely makes sense. Historically post LCI have been modest increments, often not worth it except for one or two good fixes.
