I think over $10k is a guarantee, and wouldn't be shocked if it went to $13k. We get our teeth kicked in here. BMW Canada FTL.

Updated the M6 guides with the June 1, 2013 versions:

In you adjust for inflation the current M5 is no more expensive than a E39 M5 and most likely any other generation.

Can someone please clarify what exactly the "sport exhaust" on the ZCP is? Who makes it and what does it offer in terms of sound upgrade?

Is it worth anything?

Will try to find out more details on it. In terms of sound, this is the only video/audio clip of it so far.

I hardly think not paying cash means you can't afford the car... anyone can use their money to get a larger return than 3% or so of financing...

The OP was merely stating the comp package was overpriced....not that I really think it is, seems reasonable, slightly overpriced but thats BMW...if you want value get a GT-R, I won't stand in your way.

And remember a full on titanium exhaust is 7-8k so the comp package for what its worth doesn't sound like a bad deal for 6k considering the suspension and tuning bits. I will have spent close to $17k on mine after the initial sticker of $132k for my Individual M6 + Akra + HRE so my two cents. I only wonder if he gets the M drivers package limiter with the ZCP in the US

I was just using that as an example. I know plenty of people who lease their cars under their companies' name or finance cars (especially when BMW had 0.9% financing for 60 months), I just meant that it's ridiculous to stretch to afford a car with a $120k price tag. Clearly, you could buy a $100k car and not worry about it.

What's the old saying? If you've got to ask, it's too much?

I see your point but if you're dumb enough to blindly pay for anything regardless of price, you won't be (as) rich for long.

Aside from an Aston Martin Rapide, these are coupes. That alone makes this an apples-to-oranges comparison. And, the Rapide starts around $200,000 USD.

Does anyone know if it is possible to buy the competition package from BMW servicing to be retrofitted to previous year model M5?

I'm asking this because I ordered an M3 this year, and wonder when they come out with a competition package in the future for the M3 I can still get it. I'm guessing this may be similar to BMW M competition parts. Thanks!
