Anyone get a rear foglight switch yet?

EDIT:Update I bought one from ECS Tuning. You have to email them to ask for the part, it's not on their website.

I found what I think is the part number
61319204067

But haven't found a place to order it yet. Will call some parts counters tonight.

That's the switch for a regular 5 series not an M5 but I'll contact them to see if they can get the M5 one, thank you for the link!

Yes, I have one. Works just fine. 61319204067 is what I brought back with me from Germany.

I was there on business and the lightbulb went off. I also brought back with me Euro tails, the first aid kit/warning triangle for the trunk, and a couple other things. The Euro bumper was too big to check on the plane so I decided not to do that. :P

I'm heading back in December and might pick up a couple of these if people are interested.

BTW - I also have a reservation on a Tesla Model S. 5 minutes with that 17" display and I was hooked. I don't have a dedicated place to charge it (yet) but I'll figure it out.

Will put the high powered charger on my garage wall. 5 minutes and I was hooked. Figuring late next summer.

I have a personal view that all cars will be electric in maybe 20 years. We'll be telling our grandkids about the internal combustion engine like my great grandmother would talk about the steam engine.

Agreed. I'm also a gadget guy and never have I used a system so intuitive or beautiful in an automobile.

Just found out from our facilities group that the new Twitter building I'm moving my company's offices into has electric charging stations in the garage. So Tesla during the week, M5 on the weekend.

I don't know the current length if one were to reserve *today*, but I am scheduled to take delivery in January. The car is getting a lot of attention after being called Automobile of the Year, etc. so that could be pushing the wait times out. I am supposed to get a Signature model (due to the below) but the possibility exists I will just get a regular model (also due to the below).

Our pre-acquisition CEO came from PayPal and worked very closely with Elon Musk. He's one of the PayPal "Mafia" as they're called. It is due to this relationship that I am considering this purchase. (Who needs 2 cars in San Francisco?!) We are getting extraordinary pricing, well beyond what I have ever seen for an "employee pricing" perk. But we're also being asked to remain patient and allow them to prioritize orders for regular customers.

Just this evening I drove another one and cannot stop raving about this car. I know it's the wrong forum, etc. but BMW could learn a lot from Tesla with respect to infotainment, etc. I was made an offer to go work with Tesla but I turned them down as their future was in certain back then. In hindsight, I should've done it. Stealth - go drive one. Really.

If they hit all their stated production rate targets it would be about late July 2013 if you ordered one now. I think a rough guess of late summer to early fall is realistic.

Was the replacement steering column stalk hard to install? Is it a big improvement over just havign Auto-H via coding?

These pics should answer your question about the difficulty... It does require coding, steering angle recalibration, and some other bits.

I am pleased though. I like having the manual toggle at my fingertips. The coding does work but requires the lights to cycle and isn't on when the car starts with the lights in automatic.

Wow I thought you'd just attached a random picture of a European spec interior. I can't believe you did all that, impressive!

I saw some software code after searching but how do you input that into your car? (I'm not adept with IT)
