Sorry, I still don't really understand how its technically any different, if I drive forwards out of my drive I drive very slowly out of it, equally reversing out I'm creeping backwards at the same sort of speed - I don't get why that would be any worse for a DCT gearbox if its under the same load, carrying the same weight at the same speed on the same clutch?

Perhaps if it used a separate clutch for reversing that was not as durable I would understand your point, but I don't believe this is the case

Just curious How sloped is your driveway?

some reverse incline is just impossible to avoid,
what about parking in incline?
