Video: World's fastest M5 F10 by Manhart Racing

Got a ride today with this beast from Germany!

This is world's fastest BMW M5 F10 MH5 S Biturbo at the moment with more than 710HP!

100-200 km/h in 6,3 seconds
80-250 km/h in 14,1 seconds

How come european tuners always quote these power numbers with nothing to back them up? Unless I'm mistaken but ive never seen an engine or chassis dyno from anyone showing anywhere near those numbers. I also love when they show a car on a chassis dyno then say for example it made 570whp so with 20%(which is just a random guess) drivetrain loss its 710hp.

The "european" way of backing up their claims is by doing acceleration runs and timing them and compare those times to a std. car:

100-200 km/h in 6,3 seconds
80-250 km/h in 14,1 seconds

In the video the driver talks about the std. times for those same runs. That is a much better indication of power increase than any bodged up dyno run with tampered air temperature sensors etc to fool the dynos calculations... (so that a increase of 15hp at the wheels is calculated to be a 80hp increase at the flywheel...)

This was not posted by Manhart, but if you search this site, you will find both the dyno and v-box results to back this up.

It made 645 RWHP, 122 more than stock when tested on the same dyno. So either way it's got 122 more WHP than stock, which is AT LEAST 122 more crank hp (frictional losses in the drivetrain increases when the load increases).

If we believe the M5 has 560HP stock (there is a debate on this at the moment):

560 + 122 = 682HP
(conservative as the increase in drivetrain losses hasn't been adjusted for and this number only allows for 37hp/6% in drivetrain losses 682-645=37)

Many believe however that the M5 has over 600hp stock.

I kinda like the stripe too!

Does their M5 have downpipes? Their M5 does seem fast but I listened to the video with my headphones and my car is definitely louder. Lol! They might have the fastest but I have the loudest. Can't wait to get downpipes and a tune myself!

It has down pipes with better flowing cats. They can also do straight through catless.

Their car has a tune, Downpipes with 400 cell primary cat and no secondary cat and they also have added restriction to their waste gates to get more turbo power.

I think the stripe and especially the wing look great. Its appropriate for the performance and mods of the car overall. The same wing may look inappropriate on another car. But not this one
