Thinking about a '13 M5...

Going to visit some family outside Philly this weekend; was going to drop by and see this beast - http://www.globalautosports.com/car/...dan-75920.html

I was going to try and get it for around $95K. Any difference between getting it from a authorized bmw dealer?

Looks like it has 20" rims and executive package. With the rebates and such going on right now a new one would be less than 95k.

That car will be more than $95K new with rear entertainment. Agreed on color combo. Not a popular choice.

I didn't want to offend anyone on the board that may have that color combo, but I was thinking with those colors you may be able to get a big discount, if you can live with it.

I would still look at new ones, cars.com is showing over 500 2013 M5's available in the US. Don't you think you could get one at or maybe a little below invoice (assuming the rebates are still available)?

Price it out on BMWConfig at Euro delivery invoice price, then add $1,000 for dealer profit, which you can get back from the CCA. Then think about this price again.

Not to offend the OP or anything but yeah it totally looks like that car was an individual order from the factory. I can't see the dealer ordering that color combo. I'm thinking maybe the previous owner didn't like it and traded it back in.

I see your point guys. I personally did like the brown/black interior.

I was getting quotes for over $100K for this car new with all the options. The bigger rims are a must...

Figured if I could save around $8K it would be worth having 1,100 miles on the car instead of BRAND NEW.

What rebates do you speak of? I keep hearing of rebates but other than leasing through a BMW dealership or a loyalty/military offer I dont show any applicable right now. CCA rebate also requires one year of membership.

I wouldnt settle for a color you dont like that much especially since its used and you dont know exactly what was done to it in the 1150 miles it has.

Looks like this thing would prices out for $106,400 msrp including GG tax and destination. No offense but that brown interior trim is hideous.

I checked bmwusa and the rebates aren't nearly as big as I thought they were. I thought there was a $3500 rebate but the BMW site doesnt show it. Only a $1500 financing credit and a $750 loyalty discount.

Good to know - I was looking for some last minute deals since I finalize my deal tomorrow. Thx I believe the $1500 credit is for leasing only and not financing.

OK I thought the MSRP would be around $100k. It has more options than i thought. I agree, I also would choose to pay the small premium to get a car thats new and not hideous. Rpim5 has it right, someone paid big bucks for this car special order, and probably got sick to their stomach when they saw it in real life.

For leasing or financing, BMW Financial Services is offering $1500 discount plus a $750 loyalty discount.

per bmwusa site: Also available, 3.19% APR for 37-60 months. Lease/APR Credit is a $1,500 credit against the MSRP of the loan or lease on a M5 Sedan through April 01, 2013.

Sounds like its a credit if you finance through bmw.

THIS is what matters. If YOU like it then buy it. People my have a point about it being harder to sell but personally I always put more stock into how much I enjoy the car.

The $3500 thing ended over the holidays I believe. You can get $750 for BMW FS financing. Not sure about the $150o (haven't looked into it). I know about the $3500 only because my dealer laughed at me when I spontaneously bought mine right after the holidays (was planning on waiting until Spring but this special order car showed up and the buyer didn't). They KNEW I would do this so they were rubbing it in a little.

No matter what you will LOVE this car! Get what you like and enjoy! That is not a bad price at all.

Yea its only like $6400 off on a used car sitting on a lot, I got $3500 + the 7% ED discount off on an ordered Euro Delivery car. Many others here have gotten smoking deals too. Had I not planned on doing ED I'd be searching the lots for the exact car you want at your price.

If you have good credit the $1500 is pointless because u can finance at half the 3.19 BMW is offering. I received 1.49% financing and on my $35.5k loan amount it equals out to a $1500 savings over the life of the loan - so its a virtual wash.

Yep. I only financed my car partially to get the $750 that was offered at the time. They require me to stay on for 6 months before payoff and the interest I pay is a fraction of the $750 so I said what the heck (plus the F&I mgr. is a friend so I thought I'd let him make his $ for writing the deal too)

Wait - so could I finance like $5k just to get the $1500 credit?
